Paraform Trials
Last updated: October 29, 2026
When you slot a new role on Paraform, you'll start with a 10-day trial. It's a chance to evaluate fit from both sides: whether the hiring manager is responsive, the role is worth your time, and the pipeline feels productive. If it's not the right match, you're free to move on. No strings attached.
Starting a trial
You can start a limited number of trials each week (most recruiters start with three), and limits reset Mondays at 9am PT. When you apply to recruit on a role, it will take you to the trial start page:

The trial period

Your 10-day window
Your trial begins the moment you slot a role. You'll have 10 business days to submit 2 qualified candidates (typically 1 for legal roles). Once you hit that bar, you successfully completed the trial and stay on the role as a Primary recruiter.
One thing worth noting: start when you're ready to recruit actively. The clock runs on business day from the day you join, so if you know you have a busy week ahead, it may be worth waiting. We'd rather you set yourself up to succeed than rush through it.
The submission requirement
Submitting 2 candidates in 10 business days is the bar. The goal isn't to flood the hiring manager's pipeline—it's to demonstrate that you've engaged with the role and can source real fits, while also being a reliable source of candidates moving forward.
A note on legal roles
Submission requirements may fluctuate due to the unique circumstances of these roles. The role card is always the source of truth for trial requirements.
Extending a trial
If you haven’t submitted 2 candidates by the end of your trial window, you won’t be able to submit more candidates to the role until you request an extension. You can only request an extension if you have previously submitted 1 candidate within the original window.
When you have 3 or fewer business days remaining on the trial , you can request an extension of up to 5 days by clicking the 3 dots on the trial role card in your Paraform dashboard:

If you don’t extend (or the extension also runs out), you’ll be automatically withdrawn from the role and the slot is freed up. You can still send a strong candidate to that role as a Single Submission.
Withdrawing from a trial
If you realize partway through that the role isn't a fit (the requirements shifted, the pipeline isn't there, etc.), you can withdraw at any point with no penalty.
Passing a trial
Once you submit 2 qualified candidates within your 10-day window, your slot automatically becomes Primary:

Primary slots are meant to reflect roles you're actively working. If a role isn't being worked, we may open it back up for another recruiter.
A note before you start
Be mindful when starting a trial, as trials come with meaningful expectations. If you have a one-off candidate, consider a Single Submission instead.
