Primary Role Slots
Last updated: October 29, 2026
Primary role slots are for the roles you're actively working, and are designed to allow you to go deep on a role. Being a Primary recruiter gives you more direct access to hiring managers and opens up eligibility for weekly challenges and Paraform Guarantees, but come with ongoing activity expectations.
How primary role slots work
Curate your primary role slots. You can view all the roles you've selected as primary on your homepage.
Joining a role starts a trial. When you join a role, it takes one of your primary role slot as a trial. Submit 2 qualified candidates within 10 business days (some role types, like legal, ask for fewer) and your slot automatically upgrades to Primary. For more details, check out 📄 Paraform Trials.
Removing a primary role (withdrawals). To remove a primary role, click the three-dot icon on your role card and select Withdraw from role. You have a limited number of withdrawals per week (withdrawing during a trial doesn’t count), so make sure to choose your primary roles carefully.
Requesting more role slots. Most recruiters start with three primary roles, but you can request more as needed with Request additonal slot once you've filled your current slots. If all of your current slots are being actively worked, your extra slot is usually granted right away.
Activity expectations
A Primary slot comes with ongoing expectations:
Weekly submissions: At least 1 candidate per Primary role per week to keep your slot active.
60% interview rate: Aim for a 60% interview rate across your submissions to the role.
Primary slots are meant to reflect roles you're actively working. If a role isn't being worked, we may open it back up for another recruiter.
