Paraform Trials

Last updated: May 16, 2026

When you slot a new role on Paraform, you'll start with a 10-day trial. It's a chance to evaluate fit from both sides: whether the hiring manager is responsive, the role is worth your time, and the pipeline feels productive. If it's not the right match, you're free to move on. No strings attached.

Starting a trial

When you apply to recruit on a role, it will take you to the trial start page:

What the trial period looks like

Your 10-day window

Your trial begins the moment you slot a role. You'll have 10 days to submit 2 qualified candidates. Once you hit that bar, your slot automatically upgrades to Primary—no manual review, no waiting.

One thing worth noting: start when you're ready to recruit actively. The clock runs from the day you join, so if you know you have a busy week ahead, it may be worth waiting. We'd rather you set yourself up to succeed than rush through it.

The submission requirement

Submitting 2 candidates in 10 days is the bar. The goal isn't to flood the hiring manager's pipeline; it's to demonstrate that you've engaged with the role and can source real fits, while also being a reliable source of candidates moving forward.

Weekly trial limits

To keep things fair across the platform, you can start a maximum of 3 new trials per week. That limit resets every Monday and may adjust based on your performance.

Withdrawing from a trial

If you realize partway through that the role isn't a fit (the hiring manager isn't responsive, the requirements shifted, the pipeline isn't there) you can withdraw at any point. Trials are designed to give you an honest look at a role before you fully commit.

Need an extension?

When you have less than 2 days remaining on the trial, you can request an extension by clicking the 3 dots on the trial role card in your Paraform dashboard:

Passing a trial

Once you submit 2 qualified candidates within your 10-day window, your slot automatically becomes Primary. Here's what that unlocks:

  • Direct HM access: Chat directly with the hiring manager through platform messaging

  • Higher visibility: Your candidates are surfaced higher to the hiring manager

  • Higher minimum Paraform Guarantee: Earn a higher minimum payout if a role closes prematurely and qualifies

  • First eligibility for Recruiter Statuses: Coming soon, with platform perks and prioritization tied to your track record

What's expected once you're Primary

Earning a Primary slot comes with ongoing expectations:

  • Weekly submissions: At least 1 candidate per Primary role per week to keep your slot active

  • 60% interview rate: Aim for a 60% interview rate across your submissions

Primary slots are meant to reflect roles you're actively working. If a role isn't being worked, we may open it back up for another recruiter. If you're blocked by market constraints or something outside your control, reach out! We always appreciate that context.

A Note Before You Start

Be mindful when starting a trial, as trials come with meaningful expectations. If you have a one-off candidate, consider a Single Submission instead.
